The restaurant served meals with "fresh" ingredients. The hotel had free Wi-Fi so I could post about my restful getaway. Hair salon was a nice bonus.
Remember those complimentary newspapers in the lobby? Yeah, they weren't in English.

We got excellent value for our money at Hostellerie Excalibur in Saumur. The room was clean, comfortable, and just what we needed for our weekend away. The location was convenient, with a short 10-15 minute walk into town, and we didn't have to use our car once. The staff treated us with a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble for them.
The breakfast could have been improved with a better selection of options.

The rooms were dope, especially the family room with a separate space for the kids. We had a blast exploring Saumur and checking out the sick views from the castle. And the best part? The hostel had digital programming for entertainment, so we could chill and watch Netflix after a long day of adventures. Can't wait to come back!
The only thing we missed was a sick party vibe at the hostel. It would have been epic if they had a cool bar or DJ nights for young party-goers like us.

I absolutely adored the charming decor of the hotel, especially in the common areas. The cozy seating areas with plush cushions and beautiful artwork created such a warm and inviting atmosphere. As a senior woman, I appreciated how accessible the hotel was for me. The elevator was spacious and conveniently located, making it easy for me to navigate the hotel without any difficulties.
I would have loved it if the children working there were a bit more attentive and accommodating to the needs of senior guests. A little more patience and friendliness would have made my vacation even more enjoyable.

A Convenient and Comfortable Stay
I recently had a stopover at a budget hotel and I must say it exceeded my expectations. The hotel's location was perfect for my needs, with plenty of parking available. The room, though not fancy, was clean and well-maintained, with super clean bed linen and a spacious en suite. The convenience and position of the hotel made it an easy choice for me, as I've stayed there four times before.

The hotel's location is great, just a short walk away from the city center and its stunning views across the river. The room was comfortable and clean, with spotless bed linen and a spacious en suite bathroom. The convenient private car park provided plenty of parking space. Additionally, the restaurant offered good and reasonably priced food.
Some of the restaurant staff were not friendly and did not speak English, causing communication difficulties and making the dining experience less enjoyable for non-French-speaking guests.
